Objective

The emblematic action focuses on proposing and delivering solutions through the creation of a Smart Grid System for the economic development of the agri-food sector, based on the triptych: sustainability – food security – knowledge production and management.

The ultimate goal is the development of infrastructures, synergies, and methodological and digital tools to enhance the resilience of Greece’s agri-food systems.

The specific objectives of the project include:

• Adding distinct “Greek Value” to agricultural products and processed goods of Greek origin.
• Supporting and guiding both primary producers and the agri-food processing industry.
• Strengthening the agri-food processing sector.
• Promoting extroversion and international outreach.
• Enhancing agritourism and gastronomic tourism.
• Establishing structures that act as facilitators and accelerators for the adoption of innovation and applications enabled by digital technologies (e.g., IoT, precision agriculture, blockchain, Artificial Intelligence) and biotechnologies (e.g., genomics, metabolomics).
